After that, there will be holiday gifts, that is, the man will send rice cakes, zongzi, moon cakes, wine, fruit, fish, meat and poultry to the woman's house, and some will also give money instead of things. After the wedding date is fixed, the man informs the woman and gives her a bride price, which is called "ventilation to send the day". After liberation, according to the provisions of the Marriage Law, men and women who have reached the legal age of marriage can register for marriage as long as both parties are willing, and there is no need to perform engagement procedures. However, it is still popular for men to send bride price, souvenirs and treat each other. (2) Marriage is commonly known as a wedding banquet. Old-fashioned weddings include getting married (dowry), welcoming the bride and visiting the bride. Ceremonies such as eating candles, entering the bridal chamber, warming the bed, worshipping ancestors, and returning to the door. Weddings cost a lot of money. As the saying goes, "a couple's sedan chair takes the cow home." When the rich family welcomes the bride, the bride takes the sedan chair, the groom takes the official sedan chair, firecrackers and three-eye guns clear the way, followed by high-light colorful flags and thick and thin bands. The poor families only give the bride a sedan chair, the groom a unicycle and even the bride a bus. In the 1920s, a new type of wedding appeared, that is, local celebrities were invited as witnesses, and the witness read the marriage certificate, and then the bride and groom, the witness, the introducer and the officiating person stamped the certificate respectively, and the bride and groom performed the wedding ceremony, and relatives and friends congratulated them. After liberation, we advocated simple marriage. In 1950s, civilized marriage became popular. In the 1960s and 1970s, grand ceremonies were generally not held, and some only held symposiums or tea parties. Weddings in rural areas are mostly by car, and a few people invite folk brass bands to entertain them. City residents only buy thin banquets, not lavish. Weddings in the 1980s also paid attention to ostentation and extravagance, hiring a car to greet the bride and inviting guests into the restaurant.
