Changtu County, the northernmost part of Tieling City, Liaoning Province, is a pilot unit of strengthening the county system by expanding power in Liaoning Province. It is a famous agricultural county in China, the largest peanut distribution center in Northeast China, the largest grain production base in China, and the livestock and poultry production and processing base. Changtu county has convenient transportation. There are two railways, namely Harbin-Dalian Railway, Pingqi Railway and Harbin-Dalian High-speed Railway. National Highway 102, National Highway 303 and Shenyang-Harbin Expressway pass through the territory. Changtu county has a solid industrial base. A modern industrial pattern focusing on building materials, chemicals, machinery, textiles and agricultural and sideline products processing is taking shape.
