Cangxi Chuanmingshen is a famous specialty in Cangxi County, Guangyuan City, Sichuan Province. It has a long history of cultivation. As early as forty-eight years in Qingganlong (1783), Cangxi County Records recorded Chuanmingshen, a local product, and artificial cultivation began in the early years of Xianfeng (185 1).
Cangxi Chuanmingshen, produced in Longshan and its surrounding areas in Cangxi County, Sichuan Province, is an excellent Chinese herbal medicine. It is a traditional Chinese medicine for nourishing yin, tonifying lung and strengthening spleen, and has the effects of moistening lung, resolving phlegm, harmonizing stomach, promoting fluid production and detoxifying. Injection is used to treat cough due to lung heat, yin injury due to fever, deficiency-cold and amenorrhea. In May 2000, it was analyzed by Chengdu Institute of Biology, China Academy of Sciences. From the samples provided by Cangxi, 4,5,6,7-tetrasubstituted benzo-methoxy, which is rare in nature, was isolated from Chuanmingshen for the first time, and its structure was 4- hydroxymethyl stem -5-(B- methyl propionate stem) -6- methoxy.

Cangxi Chuanmingshen is a specialty of Cangxi County, Sichuan Province, and a geographical indication product of China.
