Alternative names of Gallica: Moshizi, Wushizi, Wushizi, Wushizi, Machaze. Gallia are the larvae of gallic wasps, insects of the family Apidae. It tastes bitter and is warm in nature. Enters the lung, spleen and kidney meridians.

Functions: Consolidate qi and astringent essence, astringe lungs and stop bleeding. It is used to treat deficiency and slippage of the large intestine, persistent diarrhea, bloody stools, spermatorrhea, vaginal sweating, cough, hemoptysis, toothache, bleeding from trauma, and sores that do not close for a long time.

Usage and dosage: Oral administration: decoction, 2 to 4 qian; or take into pills or powder. External use: Grind into powder and sprinkle or mix for application.

Note: Do not take it if you have diarrhea, internal stagnation due to dampness or heat, or stagnation.

Attached prescription:

① To treat diarrhea and drowsiness in children: without stones (simmering slightly), use half a ounce of skin of Helile (simmering). For fine scattering. Take half a penny of porridge or drink for each dose, three or four times a day. Add and subtract measurements. ("Puji Fang" Wu Shi Zi Powder)

②Treat children with intestinal deficiency and heat. Diarrhea with blood, or red stools, severe abdominal pain that lasts day and night, frequent episodes: Wu Shi Zi, Diyu each Five qian, Phellodendron chinensis (fried, fried with honey) 2 liang, Coptis chinensis (fried, file) 1 liang, 5 qian, sour pomegranate peel one liang. Pound it into fine powder, cook the batter with vinegar and make balls as big as pockmarks. Take ten to twenty pills each time, drink warm rice and take it before eating. ⑤Cure hemorrhoids, excessive bleeding, or bleeding: three pebbles (burnt ashes), three liang of white bark of acanthus root (file, stir-fry until slightly yellow) , 3 points of motherwort, 2 taels of Divine Comedy (lightly stir-fried), 1 tael of cypress leaves, and 1 tael of mulberry ears.
