How to use the pressure cooker
Pressure cooker is one of the common kitchen appliances. Pressure cookers have many uses, such as cooking and making soup. How to use the pressure cooker? In fact, the use of pressure cookers must be understood, otherwise certain dangers may occur. Pressure cooker only shows its advantages when used correctly, and it is durable. Here is a brief introduction to the use of pressure cooker.
1, new pressure cooker oil treatment
Before the new pressure cooker was used, the sealing ring was relatively high. It is necessary to add a small amount of cooking oil to the top and bottom of the pot, mainly to facilitate the initial opening and closing.
Step 2 cook food
Put the food to be cooked into a pressure cooker and add a proper amount of water so that the food and water do not exceed four fifths of the capacity. At the same time, the water or soup should not be less than 400ml. We all know that pressure cookers mainly collect a lot of steam to cook familiar foods, so water must be sufficient.
Step 3 close the lid
Remove the safety valve or pressure limiting valve and cover it. Make sure the lid is locked. Put the pressure cooker on the fire. Open a big fire. The pressure cooker began to convert water into steam.
(1) Before closing the cover, check whether the exhaust pipe is clear, whether the anti-blocking cover is clean, whether the safety valve is in good condition, and whether the float moves freely up and down and is in the descending position.
(2) Place the pot cover flat on the pot body to fix the pot body, and rotate the pot cover clockwise as shown in the figure until the upper handle and the lower handle completely overlap. At this point, it just moved to the working position and the float valve was completely exposed.
4. Heating
Wait for the pressure in the pressure cooker to rise. When the pressure reaches the set safety limit, the pressure cooker starts cooking food.
After the cover is covered, it can be heated by high fire. When a small amount of steam is slowly discharged from the exhaust pipe, the pressure limiting valve is buckled on the exhaust pipe, and then the float will rise. After the exhaust pipe hisses, the furnace temperature can be appropriately lowered to keep the exhaust gas until the cooking is completed.
Turn down the fire and let the pressure cooker still boil, but there is no whistle. The time is recommended by the recipe. It is best to cook at the suggested time. If the fire is not turned down, the pressure in the pot will continue to rise, and the pressure limiting valve will be opened (honked) to release steam to prevent the pressure in the pot from being too high. The pressure limiting valve is used to prevent the pressure cooker from breaking. This is not an indicator for calculating cooking time.
5, cooling deflation
Turn off the fire after the food is cooked in the suggested time. So as to reduce the pressure in the pot. Don't try to open the lid. The recipe will detail how to lower blood pressure. There are three ways.
Natural blood pressure reduction: This method is suitable for foods that have been cooked for a long time, such as baked goods, which will cook for a while during the blood pressure reduction process. This method takes the longest time, usually 10 to 20 minutes.
Quick decompression: Most old pressure cookers and all new pressure cookers have quick decompression valves on their covers. When this valve is opened, the pressure in the pot is slowly released.
Cold water decompression: this is the fastest way to decompress. Don't use this method if you use an electric pressure cooker. Put the pressure cooker under the tap. Turn on the tap and pour cold water on the lid until the pressure drops. Do not aim water at the pressure reducing valve or exhaust valve.
Check to ensure that the pressure is completely released. For old pressure cookers, turn the pressure limiting valve. If there is no sound of steam jet, the surface pressure is released. For new pressure cookers, push the valve stem. If there is no sound of steam jet, the surface pressure is released.
Step 6 open the lid
When there is no steam discharged from the exhaust pipe and the float falls, the cover can be opened counterclockwise. If the float does not fall, it proves that there is still pressure in the pot. At this time, the pneumatic interlocking device will play an insurance role and the cover cannot be opened. Don't force the lid open. Press the indicating valve with chopsticks to let the residual gas in the pot be exhausted before opening the lid.
Three, the use of pressure cooker and matters needing attention
1. Check the pressure cooker before use.
Check whether there are any indentations and cracks on the pressure cooker, and also check whether the food in the pressure cooker is cleaned. If the pressure cooker is cracked, it will be dangerous. We know that the steam in the pressure cooker can easily burn people.
Step 2 add water to the pressure cooker
You need to know how to put the food that needs cooking into the pressure cooker, and you must add water before cooking anything. The water level in the pot shall not exceed two thirds of the capacity. Because steam accumulation still needs some space.
