The harm of eating bacon
Bacon is a kind of food with high fat (68% of human body's calories come from fat, nearly half of which is saturated or can cause arterial obstruction, and the fat content of a piece of bacon is as high as 3.5g), high sodium (a piece of medium-sized bacon contains sodium 150mg) and high cholesterol (30mg per ounce, equivalent to 4 pieces). Long-term consumption in large quantities will lead to arterial obstruction, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases and obesity.
Bacon contains a lot of nitrate. A study in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that nitrate in food can cause cancer, so long-term consumption will increase the risk of cancer.
