First, fewer and fewer farmers are engaged in dry farming, that is, growing vegetables and fruits.
With the substantial improvement of people's material living standards, people tend to eat more vegetables and fruits for health and nutrition, and the demand has surged. Where do vegetable farmers have so many real farmyard manure applications? The use of chemical fertilizers is inevitable. At the same time, for fast-growing vegetables, only some pesticides can be used to kill pests, but less and less. In addition, most vegetables that use pesticides are sold, which caters to the eye needs of some people. Therefore, it is really difficult for residents living in cities to eat vegetables and fruits that do not use chemical fertilizers and pesticides all the year round.
Second, you can eat pure green vegetables, do not apply chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and retired people have a certain amount of labor.
People who have houses and private plots in rural areas can do it completely. What they need is patience, care and hard work. For example, cabbage in autumn and winter is easy to cause pests. People who have a lot of free time can carefully identify pests from the roots of vegetables and make them grow well without pesticides.
Third, people living in rural areas generally grow all kinds of vegetables for their own consumption.
Send some to relatives and friends at most. Fertilizer will never be used, but some vegetables do use a small amount of pesticides, but the impact will not be great. Rain and dew are clean, so you can eat them safely. Of course, fruits and vegetables, pea tips and broad beans generally do not need pesticides. So many rural people eat their own vegetables, and some use some pesticides.
Finally, I feel very relaxed in the countryside. My courtyard with an acre of land is full of grain and vegetables, and no chemical fertilizer or pesticide is used. Don't even eat vegetables out of season in winter!
