The area where Wang Yaogu is located is covered with 100-year-old medicinal trees, with 3,000 mu of medicinal forest and 40 mu of Chinese herbal medicine botanical garden, and the output of Chinese herbal medicines is rich every year. According to legend, Qi Bo, the ancestor of traditional Chinese medicine, and Sun Simiao, the drug king, once lived in this mountain for a long time to collect medicines and treat diseases. Residents on the mountain have always had the custom of offering sacrifices to the Bodhisattva, the medicine king valley, hence its name.
As the most distinctive local Chinese herbal medicines, such as Flos Magnoliae, Eucommiae Cortex, Cortex Magnolia Officinalis and Cornus officinalis, are included in the special medicated diet menu of the resort, Wang Yaogu has become the most popular self-cultivation resort at present.
