American Marvel comic super villain Mephisto fellers made his debut in the third issue of The Silver Surfer (1968). He is a demon and is famous for catching souls, usually by signing contracts. He has powerful magical power, which can be transformed into other abilities, such as superhuman power, changing his shape (Mephistopheles's true shape is unknown) and size, projecting hallucinations, manipulating memories, changing history and being highly defensive against harm. Mephisto fellers can stay awake, eat and breathe, and be immune to conventional diseases.
