Someone asked me to take the time to show it to him. What should I do? Show him the watch? No, this is a watch, not time; Tear up a calendar for him? No, this is a piece of paper, not time; Stand in front of him for an hour, okay? No, this is the penalty station, not the time. All kinds of methods are wrong. I can't think of any way. Time is invisible because it can't be shown to others.
Science does not study the unmeasurable. Since time is invisible, how can scientists measure it? It turns out that science expresses time by measuring the changes of objects, such as measuring the change of the earth's revolution around the sun for one year; The change of the earth's rotation is considered as the time of day; The simple pendulum vibrates once a second; Without exception, the vibration of the crystal and the rotation of the electron in the atomic orbit are replaced by the change of the object with the shortening of time.
Is the change of objects time? If the answer is "yes", science is right; If the answer is no, then the whole science is wrong. Therefore, we must face this problem with a serious mood.
Now let's try to solve this problem together. Assuming that all objects are stationary, the earth does not revolve or rotate; Simple pendulum does not vibrate; When the crystal does not vibrate; Electrons do not rotate in atomic orbits; Planes can't fly; Cars don't run; The heart is not beating, etc. Can scientists still measure time? Of course not. So, is there still time? There should be no time. When everything is still, everything remains the same. All life is not birth, aging, illness and death. Of course, there is no time. This is self-evident and needs no proof. So the answer is: time is the change of objects.
The Diamond Sutra said, "You can't gain experience in the past, you can't gain experience now, and you can't gain experience in the future." The lack of three kinds of experience shows that the heart has not changed, so the past, the present and the future are gone, and the time is gone. If "the past heart can be obtained, the present heart can be obtained, and the future heart can be obtained", then the heart has three changes, so the past, present and future can be obtained, and there will be time.
This passage in the Diamond Sutra shows that the existence of time depends on the change and stillness of the heart, which is consistent with the scientific point of view, except that science focuses on things and the Diamond Sutra focuses on the heart.
