Qi and blood are very important to people, and qi circulation leads to blood circulation, while qi stagnation leads to blood stasis. Speaking of blood stasis, it is estimated that many people have had such an experience: when they didn't hit it, they were all black and blue, and they disappeared after a while. This phenomenon is a typical blood stasis constitution, so how did the blood stasis constitution come from?

"Blood stasis, blood accumulation", Chinese medicine, blood stasis is called blood stasis, when the blood in the body is not running smoothly, or blood stasis is often said to be blood stasis constitution. The reasons for the formation of blood stasis constitution mainly include the following three aspects:

1, qi stagnation and blood stasis

Under normal circumstances, blood runs by itself in the vein, and of course it mainly depends on the function of the heart to pump blood. Just like the water pipe used in life, the reason why the water flow can be controlled flexibly depends on the opening degree of the sluice.

But the heart has no external force and no current. How can it open the function of blood drawing? It is driven by gas flowing in the body. Just like water in a water pipe, water can't flow by itself and needs the driving force formed by pressure difference.

Therefore, there is a saying in traditional Chinese medicine, that qi leads to blood circulation, and qi stagnation leads to blood stasis. If the qi of the body is not smooth for a long time, it will cause qi stagnation. Without enough gas to push, blood stasis will naturally form.

2. Cold coagulation and blood stasis

Another common cause of blood stasis is cold coagulation and blood stasis. We all know that liquid will form ice at a low enough temperature. So is blood. Our blood can only run normally in blood vessels at normal body temperature. If the body is in a cold environment or cold state, our blood will run slowly, just like water freezes in winter, and blood will condense into blood clots and block up in blood vessels.

This is why patients with myocardial infarction and cerebral infarction often have higher morbidity and mortality in winter.

3. Blood fever

Cold coagulation can lead to blood stasis, but blood heat can also affect blood stasis. The blood in our body belongs to the category of yin and body fluid, which is heat loss. If there is less water in the body, the blood will thicken. This is why it is generally more difficult for people with body heat to draw blood, and the blood drawn is generally dark red, dark and sticky.

To say that among the famous doctors in the past dynasties, Wang Qingren's research on congestion is the most thorough. Wang Qingren, a great martial artist, had a little bump when he was a child, so many ancient martial artists knew the art of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis to a greater or lesser extent. Wang Qingren wrote his own understanding of blood stasis in a book called Lin Yi's Correction, and created five "blood stasis-removing soup", among which blood stasis was removed from head to toe.

Let's take a look together.

First, Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction

Wang Qingren divided the human body into two parts by the diaphragm. Above the diaphragm, the left and right valves of the lung and heart are called "blood chambers". Heart and lung is the circulatory system of human body, which mainly exchanges and runs blood with others. Therefore, Wang Qingren described that "the diaphragm is full of blood".

Xuefu Zhuyu decoction was established because of blood stasis in Xuefu. Due to blood stasis, the exchange of qi and blood circulation failed, which affected the normal operation of cardiac blood circulation and pulmonary gas circulation. Patients often have symptoms such as chest pain, chest tightness and night restlessness, which are similar to modern arrhythmia, coronary heart disease and circulatory system diseases.

The prescriptions of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction include safflower, rehmannia root and peach kernel. Promoting blood circulation to remove blood stasis, Bupleurum chinense and Platycodon grandiflorum ascending, leading drugs to the blood mansion, and at the same time, matching with Achyranthes bidentata, leading blood descending, giving a way out for blood stasis.

Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction: Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Rehmanniae, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Semen Persicae, Carthami Flos, Fructus Aurantii, Radix Bupleuri, Radix Glycyrrhizae, Radix Platycodonis and Radix Cyathulae.

Second, Gezhuyu Decoction

Wang Qingren thinks that middle energizer can be divided into two systems: liver system and stomach system. Including abdominal distension of gallbladder, liver, spleen, stomach and intestine. The transport function of spleen is closely related to the normal rise and fall of middle energizer.

Treatment of epigastric pain with Lixia Zhuyu decoction. Treatment includes: lump accumulation, swelling in children, abdominal pain, lower abdomen swelling and chronic diarrhea. Wang pointed out that "big belly and blue veins" is its main feature; "On Renal Diarrhea and Chronic Diarrhea" points out that its root cause is "blood stasis is abundant in the stomach"; All organs are located in the abdomen and have similar functions, which are closely related to the digestion, absorption and transmission of dietary Shui Gu.

Gexia Zhuyu Decoction not only uses Angelica sinensis and peach kernel to promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, but also adds Lindera root, Cyperus rotundus, Oletum Trogopterori and other products into the liver, gallbladder, spleen and stomach meridians, thus ensuring that the functional parts of this prescription are concentrated in the middle jiao liver and stomach. Modern Gexia Zhuyu decoction is mostly used to treat digestive system diseases, such as advanced pancreatic cancer, chronic atrophic gastritis and hypersplenism.

Third, Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction

The lower jiao system includes reproductive and urinary organs such as uterus, ovary, testis, fallopian tube, bladder, ureter, etc. It belongs to the pelvic system and is responsible for human reproductive and urinary functions. Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction is a prescription for treating Shaofu blood stasis syndrome founded by Wang Qingren. This prescription is mainly used to treat reproductive system diseases such as menstruation, leucorrhea, fetus and childbirth, such as infertility, abortion, metrorrhagia and abdominal pain.

Judging from the composition of the prescription, fennel, cinnamon and dried ginger in Shaofu Zhuyu decoction can warm the uterus and induce drugs at least in the abdomen. In modern clinic, Shaofu Zhuyu decoction is also commonly used to treat diseases of genitourinary system, such as male urethral syndrome, chronic pelvic inflammatory disease and infertility. The volatile oil, the main component of fennel, has sex hormone-like effect, which can increase the weight of fallopian tube, endometrium and myometrium and promote sexual cycle.

Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction: Fructus Foeniculi (parched), Rhizoma Zingiberis, Rhizoma Corydalis, Myrrha, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Cortex Cinnamomi, Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Pollen Typhae, and Oletum Trogopterori (parched).

Four, the body pain Zhuyu decoction

The medulla oblongata system, that is, the peripheral nervous system, is different from the subjective thinking and conscious activities of the brain system. The medulla oblongata system mainly regulates the movement and feeling of limbs. Sports-related diseases such as meridian diseases, skeletal system diseases and muscle diseases all belong to myeloid diseases.

Wang believes that "joint pain is a general term for shoulder pain, arm pain, low back pain, leg pain or systemic pain". Gentiana macrophylla, Notopterygium root and earthworm not only promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis, but also activate meridians. Achyranthes bidentata has the functions of relaxing tendons and promoting blood circulation, and treating paralysis, stagnation and contracture well, so the whole prescription has the functions of promoting blood circulation, expelling wind and removing dampness.

Shentongzhuyu decoction: peach kernel, safflower, Ligusticum Chuanxiong, Angelica sinensis, Oletum Trogopterori, Myrrha, Rhizoma Cyperi, Radix Cyathulae, Lumbricus, Radix Gentianae Macrophyllae, Notopterygii Rhizoma and Glycyrrhrizae Radix.

Five, Tongqiao Zhuyu Decoction

By dissecting the human body, Wang Qingren emphasized the problem of the parietal cranial cavity, and it was necessary to divide the functions of the brain clearly. Wang observed the morphological structure of cranial cavity and brain, and put forward that "the memory of brain waves is not in the brain", and took the growth process of children's fontanel and the wind of lambs as examples to prove that brain waves are in the brain.

Tongqiao Huoxue decoction is mainly used to treat head and face diseases such as alopecia, deafness and vitiligo. In addition to peach kernel, safflower, red peony root and other drugs for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, musk is the core drug of the whole prescription, that is, "it depends on musk for resuscitation."

The diseases treated by Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction are mainly brain diseases, including many mental and nervous system diseases. At the same time, due to the direct contact between the top-jiao brain and the outside world, Fengchi and Fengfu become the portals for the attack of furuncle diseases such as wind, cold, poison and epidemic disease, so the brain system is vulnerable to external evils such as wind and cold. The onion, ginger and yellow wine in Tongqiao Huoxue decoction have the function of dispelling pathogenic factors, considering the pathological characteristics of exogenous pathogens.

Tongqiao Huoxue Decoction: Radix Paeoniae Rubra, Rhizoma Chuanxiong, Semen Persicae, Fructus Jujubae, Carthami Flos, Onion, Ginger and Musk.

To sum up, it is Wang Qingren's contribution to medicine to develop the theory of qi and blood, and to create a series of classic prescriptions for promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis according to the prescriptions for regulating qi and activating blood circulation, which has also left valuable Chinese medicine experience for later diseases.
