1. It takes 2.5-7 hours for the harvested buds to break open and mature, and usually fall to the ground and die within 12-48 hours. Therefore, when the bamboo fungus opens and the lower edge of the fungus skirt extends to the fungus holder and the spore colloid begins to autolyze (the fruiting body is mature), it can be harvested. When picking, hold the fungus holder with your fingers, gently twist and pull out the fruiting body, and carefully put it into the basket. Do not damage the fungus skirt and affect the quality of the product.
2. After processing the Dictyophora fruiting bodies, remove the cap and pedicle immediately to prevent the dark brown spore colloid liquid from contaminating the stem and skirt. Then, insert the white bamboo fungus fruit bodies one by one onto the bamboo skewers on the drying rack for sun drying or baking. The product must be complete, white and dry.
