We put the washed dishes on the chopping board, mixed with some pre-cut meat, and my mother chopped them up with a kitchen knife. This process is called chopping dumplings. Because it is dangerous to chop dumpling stuffing, and it is completely operated by my mother, I can only watch. However, in the process of watching, I learned that the thinner the dumpling stuffing, the better. Only then did I understand why jiaozi's dishes were chopped with a knife instead of being cut with a knife.
After the dumpling stuffing is made, dad's noodles are reconciled and cut into many small bumps. Mom told me that these little pimples are used to roll dumpling wrappers.
Next, I learned how to roll dumpling wrappers with my mother, and my father wrapped jiaozi. At first, the wrappers I rolled were grotesque, and none of them were round, which made my parents laugh. I was a little discouraged and didn't want to roll, but my mother kept encouraging me to stick to it. After continuous efforts, the wrappers of the dumplings are slightly rounded. About half an hour later, we finished rolling the dumpling wrappers, and Dad finished wrapping jiaozi.
After a while, the delicious jiaozi was served on the table. I felt great eating jiaozi, because it also contained the fruits of my labor!
