Breeding donut turtles, first of all, you need to prepare a tank of the right size for it, the tank needs to have some steep slopes and resting platforms, because it needs to bask in the sun, enough sunlight is conducive to its growth. Normally, you can feed it small fish or shrimp during maintenance. If there is no condition, pork and chicken is also possible. In addition, you need to pay attention to the changes in water quality, regularly change the water to it, so as not to affect its growth after the water becomes dirty.
The water temperature is a controllable factor when breeding donut turtles. When the tortoise is in the hatchling stage, the water temperature is particularly demanding and needs to be kept above 28 degrees. If the water temperature is too low, not only will it affect their growth rate, but it may also cause them to develop a cold or pneumonia due to the low temperature. Therefore, you can use a heating rod at this stage. After they have grown up a bit, the water temperature requirement is not so high, and it can be kept between 25-26 degrees. If it is not suitable, you can also use the heating rod to increase the temperature.
