1, base fertilizer. Gourd likes sunny places, so choose open-air places to expose to the sun without shade. Generally, decomposed organic fertilizer, superphosphate and ternary compound fertilizer are selected as the base fertilizer for planting gourd, with cultivated land as the frame.
2. Top dressing. Gourd requires high water and fertilizer, and the water content should be moderate, neither too much nor too little. Too much water is easy to cause poor growth, too little water is easy to produce deformed melons, and insufficient water is easy to produce deformed melons. Generally, water is poured once after the plants are fixed, and a small amount of biogas slurry is poured together.
3. Key points of fertilization. Apply a proper amount of nitrogen to the gourd. If too much nitrogen is applied, the gourd will grow too fast, and diseases and insect pests will occur more easily, which will affect the quality of the fruit and make it bitter.
Gourd plants have many vine branches and leaves, and they also need more fertilizer. Fertilizer should be reasonably distributed with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, which can improve yield and quality.
