Chinese medicine treatment of chloasma mainly includes the following aspects:
First, the external treatment of chloasma
1. Five white ointments (containing 6 grams of Radix Angelicae Dahuricae and Rhizoma Typhonii, 4.5 grams of Radix Ampelopsis and Flos Caryophylli, and 3 grams of Lithargyrum, ground and mixed with egg white or white honey cream for later use) were applied externally.
2. Persimmon leaf freckle cream (persimmon leaves are ground into fine powder, added into melted vaseline and stirred to paste) is applied externally.
Second, the oral treatment of chloasma
(1) Internal heat due to liver depression:
Treatment: clearing away heat and soothing the liver, regulating qi and relieving depression.
Prescription: Xiaoyao San. Angelica sinensis 12g, Gardenia jasminoides Ellis 12g, Bupleurum chinense 10g, Paeonia lactiflora 10g, Paeonia lactiflora 12g, Poria cocos 12g, Angelica dahurica 12g, Hedyotis diffusa/.
Changes of addition and subtraction: Radix Rehmanniae Preparata and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae are added for patients with blood deficiency. Radix Aconiti, Radix Curcumae, and Fructus Aurantii are added for extremely depressed qi. If the stain lasts for a long time, add safflower, scorpion and peach kernel.
(2) Deficiency of liver and kidney:
Treatment: nourishing yin and tonifying kidney, clearing away heat and removing spots.
Prescription: Liuwei Dihuang Pill is flavored. Radix Rehmanniae Preparata 18g, Rhizoma Dioscoreae 18g, Fructus Corni 12g, Cortex Moutan 12g, Rhizoma Alismatis 12g, Poria 12g, Fructus Lycii 12g, Flos Chrysanthemi and Ecliptae Herba.
Changes of addition and subtraction: Anemarrhena asphodeloides, Cortex Phellodendri and Radix Polygoni Multiflori Preparata are added for patients with yin deficiency and excessive fire. If liver and kidney yin deficiency and deficiency heat are not good, remove Cortex Moutan and Alismatis Rhizoma, and add Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata, Radix Paeoniae Alba and Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae. Radix Codonopsis and Radix Astragali are added for patients with qi deficiency.
(3) Qi stagnation and blood stasis type:
Treatment: promoting qi and blood circulation, removing blood stasis and removing spots.
Prescription: Taohong Siwu Decoction. Peach kernel 10g, safflower 10g, Radix Rehmanniae 12g, Radix Rehmanniae 12g, Rhizoma Chuanxiong 10g, Radix Angelicae Sinensis 12g, Radix Paeoniae Alba 10g and Radix Angelicae Dahuricae/kloc.
Changes of addition and subtraction: For patients with amenorrhea and dysmenorrhea, Radix Aconiti, Herba Leonuri and Radix Bupleuri are added. Fructus forsythiae, Scutellariae Radix and Flos Lonicerae. For patients with severe qi stagnation, Radix Aconiti, Fructus Toosendan and Fructus Aurantii can be added.
