There are many Buddhist scriptures in Journey to the West. The ancient Buddha with burning lamps has a set of "wordless classics"; Tathagata has a set of Mahayana Sutra and Mahayana Sutra; Jackson Wu Chao has a copy of Heart Sutra in his hand. There is Maitreya, in fact, he also has a set of "Oriental Innocence Sutra".
To understand these scriptures, we must first understand the relationship between these buddhas.
Everyone may be familiar with other Buddhas, and the most mysterious one is Wu Chao, the Zen master.
The ancient Buddha burning lanterns, Tathagata Buddha and Maitreya Buddha are recognized as the three vertical buddhas. One represents the past, one represents the present and one represents the future. So who does Zen master Wu Chao represent?
Let's be specific.
The so-called past, present and future are generally considered to be based on the time axis. Specifically, the burning lamp comes from the Hongmeng era, which is Archaean. Tathagata is now in the era of concubines and concubines, and it is the last law period.
Then Maitreya Buddha will come from the future Sanyang period. Journey to the west made such an evaluation of the Sanyang era. It was during the harvest of three rhinoceroses in Qinglong Mountain that the four-valued Kung Cao herded three sheep on the hillside and shouted "Kaitai" as he walked, meaning "Three Yang Kaitai". The so-called "Sanyang" is the general term for "Sanyang Sky". Namely: Qingyang, Hongyang and Baiyang.
Cao Fu, a four-value kung fu, told Wukong at that time that they were using "Three Yang Kai Tai" to help Tang Priest open the future "unplugged". Otherwise, the Tang Priest could not have escaped from the natural disaster so smoothly and immediately entered the Longhuahui.
Longhua Club is a meeting hosted by Maitreya Buddha, similar to the Magnolia Club hosted by Tathagata Buddha. Anyway, it is a seminar or forum for outstanding people from the three worlds.
As mentioned earlier, no word classics are one of the three lighting methods. Then the Tang Priest came to learn the scriptures. He learned the scriptures without words, because it was not good for Ye Jia and Ananda. At that time, the founder of the Lantern Festival saw that the White Bear Lord had scratched the luggage of the Tang Priest and asked them to go back and get the scriptures with words.
Since Wu Zi Jing is the founder of the burning lamp, what is his intention in doing so? Because, now the world is the world of mother-in-law, and mother-in-law means desire and temptation. So many people in Buzhou, South Station, have been tempted too much, and their desires are too strong, and they have long lost their nature. How can they understand wordless scripture?
For Tathagata, in fact, the meaning of any scripture is similar. The Tathagata Buddha knows that after the scriptures were handed down, people in Buzhou, South Station were also dubious. Ambiguity is more likely to occur when there are words, but it is really not as clear as the wordless scriptures of the founder of Burning Lamp.
Tathagata has another meaning related to Zen master Wu Chao. Because in Futu Mountain, Wu Chao has passed a copy of Heart Sutra to Tang Priest.
So where did Zen master Wu Chao's Heart Sutra come from?
The first sentence in the Heart Sutra is "Guanyin Bodhisattva", which means Guanyin Bodhisattva. But it was not the Guanyin Bodhisattva in her mother-in-law's time, but the Guanyin Bodhisattva who was the "teacher of seven buddha" in ancient times.
Didn't Wukong say Guanyin Bodhisattva? You are the teacher of seven buddha, and you deserve to be widowed all your life.
Since Guanyin Bodhisattva is seven buddha's teacher, where did seven buddha come from? It's an ancient wild age. It was the time of Zen master Wu Chao.
Now the context is basically clear. Between the ancient era of burning lanterns and the era of Buddha's concubines, there was also an ancient era of floods and famines. Let's talk about the importance of Zen master Wu Chao's sutra transmission.

I can't understand the burning Buddha without words, but the Tathagata without words is very easy to read. Only Zen master Wu Chao's Heart Sutra is concise and only this one, so it is most suitable for people in Nanzhan Mansion. In this regard, the Tathagata Buddha is recognized. The ancient Buddha means that there are written scriptures with the heart sutra as the main theme, and inheriting the Sanzang Mahayana Sutra will be conducive to the correct understanding and promotion of Buddhism.
At this point, how to pass on the classics and what classics to pass on have basically reached an agreement. However, Maitreya doesn't quite agree.
When collecting evil spirits, Maitreya himself incarnated as an old man to guide the Tang Priest. He said: "It is difficult to learn from the West. To learn from the scriptures, go east. " This happened after Wu Chao, a monk in Futu Mountain, passed on the Heart Sutra. This shows that Maitreya is so concerned about this matter.
But at the moment, the Tang priest has devoted himself to the west. This book describes the inner activities of Tang Priest. Without saying a word, Sanzang mused, "The Bodhisattva points to the west. Why do you always say you want to go east? Are there any classics in the East? " Shyness is hard to say, and I have not answered for a long time. You see, Tang Priest didn't directly refute the old man's words. He just didn't speak.
Since Tang Priest and his disciples are so persistent, Maitreya can only find another way. What can we do? Just test the IQ of these people directly.
So, the yellow-browed old Buddha came to Xiaoleiyin Temple.
It turns out that Maitreya Huangmei set up obstacles here to persuade Tang Priest and others not to take the Western Classics. There are better classics waiting for you tomorrow. If you can't dissuade them, at least let them know that in the future, everyone belongs to Longhua Society and will return to East longitude Buddhism.
Therefore, Huangmei is more competitive. He said directly to the Monkey King, I want to make a bet with you. If you can beat me, spare your master and apprentice and let you make a positive result; If not, I'll kill you. When I go to see the Tathagata, it turns out that he is from China.
Huangmei's meaning is very clear. Who can succeed in China depends on who has the ability.
Huangmei's practice made Maitreya, who was secretly observing, angry. After all, Huangmei's national bag is too powerful, and the Monkey King is no match for this group of people. So, when the Monkey King went to Wudang Mountain to invite a demon Buddha, Maitreya quietly arranged for Jintou to tell the truth. You should remind the Monkey King to invite Prince Xiao Zhang to Xuyi Mountain.
How did Maitreya know that the Buddha King and Bodhisattva were going to send Prince Xiao Zhang? Because Xuyi Mountain City is also the eastern boundary of Maitreya, the Buddha king and bodhisattva naturally have to listen to Maitreya's instructions.

Because of the teacher's desire for longevity, there are some points that meet the prescription. Half a grain of cinnabar will be cured, and it is better to practice than to be king. If you learn, you will live a long life, and your face will always look like a young man. I have also been to Longhua Club and Buddhist Temple.
It is enough to have this sentence: I have been to Longhua Club. This is to tell Wukong that we will all be together in the future.
With these words, Prince Xiao Zhang was obediently put into a competition bag by Huang Mei. At this time, Maitreya immediately appeared and helped Wukong take Huang Mei away.
After this, Wukong also understood the intention of Maitreya. On the one hand, he instructed Tang Priest to quickly understand the Heart Sutra. On the other hand, he understands that what kind of scriptures he takes is not the most important. What matters is the process of learning from the scriptures and the accomplishment of positive results. Because only if you make a positive result can you make a positive result in China.
When crossing the Tongtian River again, the old giant overturned them, and the scriptures were wet and incomplete. Wukong just said lightly: the world is not complete, it was complete before, and now it is broken, but this is a mystery that should be incomplete, so it is beyond human power!
