Haiyun Temple Fair is famous for its sugar balls, and the temple fair is called "Haiyun Temple Sugar Ball Club" by the people. Every year, folk artists from all over the world rushed to perform, and sometimes tens of thousands of people rushed to the temple fair, which became one of the largest traditional temple fairs in Qingdao at that time. After the founding of New China, the people's government protected Haiyun Temple, a historical site. In 1982, it was listed as a municipal cultural relics protection unit, and in 199, it raised funds to completely restore the temple. In 199, the sifang district Municipal People's Government officially named and hosted the "Haiyun Temple Sugar Ball Club", which extended the one-day session to three days. Sugar ball club takes sugar balls as the media, integrates culture, sports, economy, trade and tourism, and mainly focuses on folk activities.
