The first impression of Chongqing came from TFBOYS. In 2014, I had endless fantasies about the big city of Chongqing. I hope that one day I can be among the bustling crowds and exchange with merchants and vendors in the noisy morning and evening markets.
I really have an obsession with Chongqing.
Finally I went.
I arrived in Chongqing at night. As soon as I set foot on the ground in Chongqing, I felt a baptism in my body and mind. Years of obsession finally disappeared at that moment.
In fact, I was restless on the high-speed train that day because it was my first time to travel alone, and it was my favorite city. I made a lot of strategies before setting off on this trip. I wanted to use it in my limited time.
In this time, I can go where I want to go.
Yes, as long as I think about it, I can come again, but sometimes in life, I just miss it when I pass by.
By the time I was completely settled, it was already 23:00 in the evening. My enthusiasm was exhausted and I realized that I was very hungry. For my first meal in Chongqing, I chose the most popular barbecue in the evening, plus I had found it on Xiaohongshu.
Here’s a guide: If you go to Chongqing and experience Chongqing’s night, it’s best to have barbecue and beer. Sitting in the open air, with the breeze blowing, it’s the smell of fireworks mentioned in the book.
But after reading too many safety warnings, I chose to order takeout. After all, I was alone, so I still had to pay attention to safety when I was out alone.
Since I am a foodie, my first stop was the Bayi Food Street. It happened to be during the lunch rush and there were people everywhere. But I had a late breakfast, so I just ordered crispy pork and a yogurt according to the guide.
Standing in the crowd and watching the crowds gather from the intersection to Bayi Delicious Street and then disperse into the shops, I felt that I had been in touch with and understood a little bit of the meaning of Shengshi.
After shopping on Bayi Street, I went directly to Baixiangju. When I arrived, there were not many people. Going down an arc-shaped low-slope curve, there was another world.
There is an open house in front of Baixiangju. The balcony is directly connected to the road outside. Some people even planted roses as a fence. When I was sighing that Chongqing people are so romantic, there was a little girl next to me who kept saying:
She pulled her boyfriend and said, look, this is where Wang Junkai took the magazine pictures, the one I showed you yesterday.
The boy looked doting on his face, "Yes, yes, yes, come on, I'll take a picture for you."
The girl tugged at the corner of her clothes that were a little messy when she pulled on her boyfriend.
How beautiful.
I quickly left the place where dog food could be handed out at any time.
I went upstairs.
It feels like most of the buildings have been turned into B&Bs, and most of the people coming and going are people of the same age carrying suitcases. However, the staircase design is very strong and has the characteristics of a mountain city. It is the first high-rise building without elevators from the 4th to 25th floors.
Except for the residents on the first and fifteenth floors of the residence, other residents have two ways to enter and exit Baixiangju. Friends who study architecture can check it out.
Moreover, you can see the Yangtze River Cableway passing by in Baixiangju, and you can take a visual picture of holding the ropeway in your hand and speaking out of the ropeway. We went to the best shooting position and only took pictures of the aerial bus from the small window of the corridor.
If you are interested in the Yangtze River Cableway, you can go and take a ride. It has round-trip and one-way tickets for 30 yuan and 20 yuan.
It is recommended to sit once when it is still dark, and again after dark when the lights are on. Two different scenery, really great. If it is a holiday when you go, it is best to go on the public account: Chongqing
For the ropeway company, make a reservation one day in advance, otherwise you will queue up for half an hour. It is recommended not to take it on holidays. There are too many people, just like taking a bus. Only people leaning against the windows can see the outside scenery, and there are so many people.
It’s easy to smell bad in the summer, don’t ask me how I know.
There is also a large wholesale market nearby - Jinhaiyang Wholesale Market, which has everything. If you buy a lot, you should have a big discount. If you just buy it individually, it is similar to what you buy in jewelry stores outside. If you want to go there,
Go early, as many shops start to close at 3pm.
The last stop - Hongyadong. When in Chongqing, you must remember that large places rely on navigation, and nearby places rely on local people. After I came out of Jinhaiyang Wholesale Market, the navigation asked me to make a circle at an intersection.
I passed all four traffic lights, and then it still showed that I should go through the traffic lights again. At that moment, I was devastated.
Finally, I saw a volunteer maintaining order in the crowd, and she pointed me to the right path. I finally found the path and kept going down. As I walked, there were fewer and fewer people, so I
I suspect I took the wrong fork in the road.
I immediately asked an old man walking on the roadside, and he told me to just walk up the road on the opposite side of the road to get there. He also told me not to go down, and that it was best to walk down from the top of Hongya Cave.
After thanking him, he followed the path pointed by the grandfather and looked confused when he told him not to go down.
Finally, after walking for about five or six minutes, I saw a big sign that said Hongya Cave with the arrow pointing down. I looked around and thought, wow, these are such high stairs. If I go the wrong way, I don’t think I’ll be able to go there again.
It's coming up.
It was only after I came back that I learned about the place where Wang Yuan took magazine pictures, but in fact, I have no regrets. I have been there. As the lyrics say, I have blown the evening breeze you blew. Have you ever seen the same thing?
landscape.
