Historical evolution

In the early days of the People's Republic of China, the whole city was divided into four districts in the shape of "Tian", and the second and third districts were the predecessors of Wenfeng District. On August 5, 1954, the organizational system of the third district was abolished, and seven neighborhood committees, including Nanmendong, under the jurisdiction of the third district were placed under the jurisdiction of the second district. On December 26, 1955, the organizational system of the first and second districts was abolished, and the Anyang Urban Committee was established.
