The Bird's Head Knot of Red Rope Bracelet Graphic Tutorial
The Bird's Head Knot, also known as the Lark's Knot,
is one of the most basic knots in the traditional Chinese handicrafts,
The Bird's Head Knot is characterized by the simplicity of the weave,
and its application is very wide and most practical.
Bird's head knots are shaped like lace,
and can be used to weave necklaces, red rope bracelets, charms, or decorations,
often used for connecting knots and ornaments, or for fixing threads.
The Bird's Head Knot
1, take a piece of thread as the core thread
2, take another piece of thread as the winding thread, fold the thread in half and put it under the core thread
3, put the other end of the winding thread through the loop as shown in the picture
4, tighten the thread, which is a Bird's Head Knot. Note that there is a crossbar in the tightened area, the one in red after the tightening
5, put the winding thread on top of the core thread
6, wrap the core thread and thread it through its own loop, note that the crossbar is on the side from which our winding thread must be wrapped around the core thread
7, tighten the winding thread, and there is no crossbar in the tightened area this time!
