Is sinomenine a chicken dung vine? What is the difference?
Sinomenine is not chicken manure vine. Both of them are traditional Chinese medicines, and their effects are similar. It can not only dispel wind and promote diuresis, but also make sores swollen and toxic. But they are different plants in taxonomy. Sinomenium belongs to Sinomenidae, Sapindaceae, a primitive perianth subclass. Centipede belongs to the genus Centipede of Rubiaceae. The leaf shapes of the two are also very different, and the leaves of Paederia are more blunt and round.
