Plot summary

In Showa 22, Kawajiri Matsuko (played by Miki Nakatani) was born in Onoshima, Fukuoka Prefecture, and graduated from university. Later, he became an ordinary teacher, but was fired from the school for covering up a student who committed theft. After that, she ran away from home, and her love life began to have ups and downs. She lived with her boyfriend who aspired to become a best-selling author. Later, her boyfriend committed suicide and she became the mistress of her boyfriend's friend.

Afterwards, she learned that her boyfriend's friend had been just using her, so the angry Songzi began to give up on herself and became a bathroom girl, becoming the most famous prostitute in the area. Later, as times changed, the bathhouse closed down, so Songzi lived with Onodera, the man who struck up a conversation with her, to "make a lot of money."

Onodera's betrayal was discovered half a year later, and Onodera wanted to keep the money he had earned together. He killed Onodera in a scuffle and fled to Tokyo. Songzi, who originally planned to commit suicide, met a honest local barber and lived with him. However, the police pursued him so hard that Songzi had to leave his lover and start a life in prison for eight years.

After being released from prison, Songzi saw that his lover had a new love and had given birth to a child, so he quietly left and started working in the barbering industry in another barber shop. He meets a fellow inmate by chance and reunites with Ryu Yoichi (Yusuke Iseya) who was once his student. Although Ryu Yoichi has joined the underworld and become a gambler, Matsuko falls in love with him.

Long Yangyi could not escape the fate of being imprisoned in the end. Thinking that he could not bring happiness to Songzi, and would only bring pain to Songzi, Long Yangyi decided to leave her after he was released from prison, but Songzi had always dreamed of it. I can stay with Long Yangyi till old age.
