The predecessor of the school can be traced back to Fangzi Street Primary School founded in 1895. (Now jimo city Experimental No.2 Primary School), the junior middle school class was founded in 1967, formerly known as Fangzi Street United Middle School. 1985 was renamed jimo city No.28 Middle School.
