Guang sheng Hao de ma Tang
Honey candy is a specialty of Tangshan City, Hebei Province, with a history of 100 years. It was first produced in Qishuzhuang, Fengrun County, Tangshan, and was originally produced by pulping. 1930 was introduced to Tangshan city, and the grouting method was used instead.
It is impossible to verify when the Guangsheng was opened by the Zhang family. Only in the old accounts can the earliest record be found as four years of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty. Zhang Jiazu lived in Shenzhou, Jizhong (now Shenxian County, Hengshui City), and was forced to move to Qishuzhuang, Fengrun County, Tangshan, to continue the production and distribution of "Guangsheng" sesame candy. Now, although Tangshan Matang has developed many branch brands, the most authentic one is Guangsheng. Through generations, the old-fashioned hemp candy brand such as Guangsheng has been carried forward. The current heir is Mr Leslie Cheung from Qishuzhuang, Fengrun District, Tangshan City. In 2009, "Guangsheng" sesame sugar was listed as the second batch of intangible cultural heritage in Hebei Province.
