Introduction to Pepsi Cola
Pepsi Cola is a carbonated beverage introduced by the American company PepsiCo, and a major competitor of Coca-Cola.
In the global cola market, Coca-Cola has the upper hand, but in Quebec, Canada, where Pepsi sales are higher than Coca-Cola, it is one of the few regions that can surpass Coca-Cola. There, many French-speaking people were accustomed to drinking Pepsi, and through the French-speaking celebrities as spokespersons, Pepsi was able to hold its position in the local market. In the mid-twentieth century, the name Pepsi was used as a derogatory term by Anglophones for Francophones.
