Tools: computer and related software.
Steps:
First, the software
1, Mute: This is the least problem, and it is also the most easily overlooked problem. Sometimes the computer has no sound, not because the software or hardware of the computer has a problem, but only because it is muted. The solution is very simple, just turn on the sound.
2. Sound card driver: This should be the first thing that many people think of when the computer has no sound. Indeed, this is also one of the culprits that often cause the computer to have no sound. First, find the sound device through the control panel, and then click the sound and audio device (please refer to the following figure for the specific location). If the pop-up interface is gray, it proves that there is no driver installed. Just download a driver and install it. If you don't know what to download, you can download a universal sound card driver and install it.
3. Mute virus: It seems to be called waveform mute virus. The performance of this virus is: the computer is muted when it is turned on, which means that there is no system startup sound, and the waveform audio is adjusted to the minimum, so the sound cannot be played. Even if it is adjusted, it will be automatically muted after a few minutes. If it is caused by a virus, the solution is to kill the virus. You can kill the virus in safe mode. If it doesn't work, then reinstall the system.
4. The service is not running: This should be a problem that many users easily ignore, that is, the audio service is turned off. Of course, it may not be intentionally turned off, but it is forbidden when the boot is optimized. The result is that the audio service is not started when the boot is started, so the computer has no sound. The solution is simple, just start the audio service when the computer is turned on. The specific implementation method is to right-click my computer, click Manage, find the service option, double-click to enter, find the Windows Audio option to see if it is turned on, if not, turn it on and set it to automatic.
Second, the hardware problem
1, Interface problem: No matter whether you use headphones or stereo, you need to connect through a fixed interface. If the connected interface is not in good contact or has been damaged, the computer will have no sound. If it is a desktop, you can try another interface to see if there is sound. If it is a notebook, you can unplug the headphones or stereo to see if there is sound. If there is, you can be sure that the interface is damaged. The solution is simple, just change the interface. If it is a notebook, it may be a bit troublesome. Many of them only have one interface. If it is damaged, you can't use the stereo or headphones. If you want to listen to the sound with the stereo or headphones, you have to find someone to change the interface.
2. Headphone problem: If you are listening to sound with headphones, you should first try to change the interface when there is no sound. If there is no sound, you can change the headset to see it. If the other headset has sound, it proves that the headset is broken. The solution is simple, that is, change a headset.
3. Audio problem: If you use a stereo to listen to sound, you must first eliminate the interface problem when there is no sound and ensure that there is no problem with the interface. Then it is likely that there is a problem with the audio. You can replace it with headphones to see if there is sound. If there is, then it is a problem with the audio. The solution is simple, that is, replace the stereo.
4, the sound card problem: this is not easy to judge, to ensure that none of the above problems, then it may be the sound card itself. Whether the sound card is damaged or not requires professional repairmen to judge. If so, only the sound card can be replaced to solve the problem.
