Canavalia rosea (Sw.) DC. is a plant of the genus Canavalia in Leguminosae. Climbing vines; Stems glabrous, up to 30m long. The compound leaves and leaflets are obovate or broadly elliptic, the base of terminal leaflets is wedge-shaped, the base of lateral leaflets is oblique, and the reticular veins are obvious.
This species is a poisonous plant included in the China Botanical Atlas Database, and its toxicity is that pods and seeds are poisonous. People are dizzy and vomiting after poisoning, and in severe cases, they are unconscious. Pods and seeds can be eaten after boiling with water and rinsing with clear water, but they are often poisoned due to improper processing.
