Truffle chocolate, a category of chocolate, is named after the famous French ingredient "truffles" (Truffes in French, Truffles in English). It originated in France and has a long history of production and consumption in Europe.
There was a Spanish princess who married into the French royal family, and because she was new to her homeland, she didn't want to eat after the wedding. The French royal chef in order to solve the princess's homesickness, the Spanish cocoa into the production of French desserts, but also a whim of the French royal aristocracy in accordance with the shape of the precious ingredients "truffle", made of distinctive chocolate. This chocolate was named Truffes, which means "truffles" in French (Truffles in English). Later on, this method of making chocolate was passed down to the people, and it is still preserved today.
