Eighteen opposites and nineteen fears of traditional Chinese medicine
The "eighteen anti-songs" originated from Zhang Zihe's "Confucianism"

Text:

Materia Medica clearly states eighteen opposites, and half of them attack Ukraine.

Algae and halberds are fighting against grass, and the ginseng is rebellious against Veratrum.

Note: Eighteen Anti-drugs listed three groups of opposite drugs, namely: Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch, Euphorbia, seaweed and Daphne genkwa; Aconitum (Radix Aconiti, Radix Aconiti Lateralis Preparata and Radix Aconiti Kusnezoffii), Rhizoma Pinelliae, Fructus Trichosanthis (Fructus Trichosanthis, Fructus Trichosanthis, Semen Trichosanthis), Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae (Bulbus Fritillariae Cirrhosae and Bulbus Fritillariae Thunbergii), Radix Ampelopsis and Rhizoma Bletillae; Veratrum nigrum, Radix Adenophorae, Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, Radix Scrophulariae, Radix Sophorae Flavescentis, Herba Asari, and Radix Paeoniae (Radix Paeoniae Rubra and Radix Paeoniae Alba). Since then, there have been some discrepancies in the books such as Compendium of Materia Medica and Yaojian, but they are not as good as the Eighteen Contradictions.

The "Nineteen Fears Song" originated from Chun Liu's Medical Classic Primary School.

Text:

Sulfur is the essence of fire, and at the sight of it, Park Nitrate fights with each other.

Mercury can't meet arsenic, and wolfsbane is most afraid of monks.

Croton is the strongest, and it is not suitable for Petunia.

Clove can't be seen with turmeric, but tooth nitrate can't be combined with Beijing Sparrow.

Aconitum kusnezoffii is not suitable for rhinoceros, and ginseng is most afraid of trogopterori.

Guan Guishan can adjust air conditioning, but he will bully others if he meets stone grease.

Generally speaking, it depends on whether it is suitable or not, and it depends on each other.

Note:

Sulfur is afraid of arsenic, mercury is afraid of arsenic, wolfsbane is afraid of monks, croton is afraid of morning glory, clove is afraid of turmeric, Sichuan aconite and kusnezoff monkshood are afraid of rhinoceros horn, tooth nitrate is afraid of three ridges, official cinnamon is afraid of stone fat, and ginseng is afraid of trogopterus dung. The Preface of Shennong's Materia Medica points out that "do not use the opposite", "If it is poisonous, it can be used to make it." Since the Song Dynasty, the relationship of "mutual fear" has also been listed as a compatibility taboo, which is confused with "mutual evil". Therefore, the concept of "Nineteen Fears" has different meanings from "Mutual Fear", one of the "Seven Emotions" mentioned in the section of "Compatibility".

1. Instructions for medication

Some of the drugs of "Nineteen Fears" and "Eighteen Contradictions" are somewhat different from the actual application, and doctors in past dynasties have also talked about them, citing ancient prescriptions as evidence to prove that some drugs can still be used together. For example, croton and petunia in induction pills are used together; Gansui Banxia decoction is juxtaposed with Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and Sargassum Yuhu Decoction are used together. The Ten Fragrant Soul-Returning Pill uses clove and turmeric together. Dahuoluo Danwu is used with rhinoceros horn and so on. There is not much research work in this field in modern times. Some experimental studies show that the toxicity of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch and Kansui is mainly determined by the dosage ratio of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch. If the dosage of Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch is equal to or greater than Kansui, the toxicity is greater. Another example is that Fritillaria and Pinellia ternata are compatible with Aconitum separately, and there is no obvious enhancement of toxicity. However, the combination of asarum and veratrum can lead to poisoning and death of experimental animals. Because of the study of "Nineteen Fears" and "Eighteen Contradictions", further experiments and observations are needed, and their mechanisms are studied, so we should take a cautious attitude at present. Generally speaking, for some of these drugs, if there is no sufficient basis and application experience, it is still necessary to avoid blind cooperation.

2. Contraindications for pregnancy medication:

Some drugs have the side effects of damaging the fetus and causing abortion, so they should be used as contraindications for pregnancy. According to the degree of damage caused by drugs to fetuses, they can be generally divided into two categories: forbidden and cautious use. Most of the banned drugs are drugs with strong toxicity or strong medicinal properties, such as croton, morning glory, spurge, Mylabris, Phytolacca acinosa, musk, Rhizoma Sparganii, Rhizoma Curcumae, leech, tabanus, etc. Cautious use includes dredging channels to remove blood stasis, promoting qi circulation to break stagnation, and pungent and hot drugs, such as peach kernel, safflower, rhubarb, immature bitter orange, aconite, dried ginger, cinnamon and so on. All prohibited drugs must not be used; Drugs used with caution can be used according to the illness of pregnant women. But when there is no special need, it should be avoided as much as possible to prevent accidents.

3. Dietary contraindications when taking medicine:

Dietary taboos are referred to as food taboos, which is also commonly referred to as taboos. In ancient literature, there are often mountains avoid onions; Rehmannia glutinosa and Polygonum multiflorum avoid onion, garlic and radish, and mint avoid turtle meat; Poria cocos is jealous of vinegar; Carapax Trionycis avoids amaranth: and records such as honey turning into onions. This shows that you can't eat certain foods with certain medicines. In addition, due to the disease, all foods that are not easy to digest and have special irritation, such as cold, sticky and fishy, should be avoided as needed. Patients with high fever should also avoid oil.
