Pomegranate trees germinate vigorously and grow new branches several times a year. Generally, robust new branches that grow in spring can form fruiting mother branches, and terminal buds or axillary buds that grow from these branches in the next spring often produce short new branches, among which flowers with terminal buds are the easiest to bear fruit. Buds that grow in summer and autumn should be pulled out in time. The modeling of bonsai is often carried out before germination in spring. Cut off long branches, over-dense branches and weak branches, and pay attention to keeping those robust fruiting branches.

2, fertilization:

Pomegranate trees are more fertile than ordinary flowers and trees. When turning the pot, put more fermented hoof or cake fertilizer at the bottom of the pot, and apply more phosphate-containing materials when fertilizing in spring and summer.

3. Environment:

From the end of April to the beginning of June, pomegranate buds are pregnant, so the soil in the basin should be dry, with sufficient sunlight and less watering. When the new leaves on the branches wilt slightly, put the pomegranate tree in the shade for 30 minutes, and then pour enough water into the basin. Repeat this several times and buds will appear in about 20 days.

4. thin fruit:

Pomegranate fruit should be cut off after imprisonment, and a medium-sized pomegranate bonsai should have 3 ~ 5 fruits. The distribution of fruits should be high and low, sparse and dense, not equidistant. If there are too many fruits, it will affect the results of next year.
