Tianjin International Studies University evaluation

As an undergraduate student in the class of 2019, I feel great! I can give you a rough introduction.

Tianjin Foreign Studies University (TFSU) is referred to as "Tianjin Foreign Studies University".

Located in Tianjin, China, it is a key university in Tianjin that offers a complete range of major foreign languages ??and the coordinated development of literature, economics, management, law, education, art, engineering and other disciplines. The institution is an institution that accepts international students studying in China under the Chinese Government Scholarship.

As of March 2018, the school has 15 teaching units and 57 undergraduate majors, including 34 foreign language majors (including 32 foreign languages) and 23 non-foreign language majors.

Now let’s talk about the housing conditions. The freshman girls’ dormitory (6 dormitories) has bunk beds for eight people, with a large communal table in the middle.

The dormitory is not small, but it is still very crowded for eight people. There are windows (which cannot be opened) and no balcony. There is a very small wardrobe, like a high school locker in an American TV series. The closing time of the dormitory is 11pm. If you come back late, you can only knock on the door loudly to wake up the dormitory aunt, which is very embarrassing, but the dormitory aunt is still nice and won't talk about you.

There is no private bathroom. The bathroom is a public bathroom. You have to share it with a whole floor of people. You can take a bath in the large bathhouse, which is near the cafeteria and takes about ten minutes to walk.

Basically don’t care about other decorations. You can decorate bed curtains, wallpapers, and walls as you like. As long as you move into the dormitory in your sophomore year, you can change it back to the original. There is a vending machine on the first floor of the dormitory building. There are snacks all year round (the categories are very scarce), buckets of instant noodles, and various drinks (Coke, Assam milk tea, green plum green tea, etc., and mineral water is often sold out) , but what’s amazing is that the drinks are usually iced in the summer.

There is a milk box next to the vending machine. Students can order milk by themselves and take it from the milk box every morning.

Opposite the vending machine is a bench with a backrest for everyone to sit on. Next to the vending machine is the dormitory aunt's lounge.

The water room is like a military training water room. There is a long faucet. The water temperature depends on the temperature. In winter, it can freeze people to death. Students can buy their own clothes-drying rods and put them in the water room to dry clothes.

The bathroom environment is worrying. The sanitary conditions are like those of a depressed and dilapidated shopping mall bathroom. It is not comparable to public toilets, but it is not very good either. The journey from 6th Dormitory to Yifu Building is the only way every Tianwai student must pass every day. Let’s start with this path.

On the way from the dormitory to Shaw Building, you will pass by two canteens. The first canteen sells water, grilled sausages and vegetarian steamed buns. The steamed buns should be made fresh every morning, with flavoring or something like that. I can’t remember exactly, but I don’t think they sell meat.

There is a copy shop next to this canteen, which is very convenient for daily photocopying and making roll-ups and various promotional posters.

Then as you walk, you will pass by the second canteen. As a canteen, I think the second canteen is more complete. In summer, there are two home-made drinks, lemonade and sour plum soup. It’s great to buy an ice-cold cup and drink it with a straw. They also sell grilled sausages and grilled potatoes in winter. Every morning they have corn, cups of porridge, wheat pies, and if you're lucky, egg-filled pancakes and steamed buns. Basically, if you don't want to go to the cafeteria, this is your best choice.

After passing this canteen, you can walk a little further to reach Shaw Building. As a rare university in the country with only one teaching building, the Shaw Building can be said to be the core of Tianwai University.

The 12th floor of Yifu Building. The struggle to squeeze into the elevator every morning can be said to be quite tragic. If you get stuck, you will basically be late waiting for you. I usually arrive five minutes early and have to wait two or three times for the elevator. After all, students all over the school are pointing at these two elevators to go upstairs, so students on floors below the fifth floor are advised to take the stairs. Taking the elevator is prone to receiving unfriendly looks.

Yifu Building is divided into e, w, m and Ax. As the name suggests, e is in the east, w is in the west, m is in the middle, and Ax is the ladder classroom. It may be hard to find new classmates, but you will get used to them if you do. On the first floor of Yifu Building, there is a place to borrow power banks and a place to connect to hot water.

When you walk out of Yifu Building, you are facing the exit of the school (Shaoxing Road). There is a milk tea shop opposite, and there is Vanke next to the school (there are Yanjiyou, Starbucks, Xiabuxiabu and many restaurants in Vanke) Rich women can go directly to consume after class.

Of course, there are ordinary and poor students like me who go to the cafeteria, so let’s talk about the cafeteria next.

There is only one canteen outside Tianwai. The canteen is divided into three floors. The first and second floors are ordinary canteens. There are spicy hotpots and spicy hot pots, and they all taste pretty good. There is a Muslim window on the second floor where you can order rice bowls. The colors of the Hui tableware are different from ordinary tableware, and the recycling locations are also different.

The third floor is a Western restaurant and a flavor restaurant. When I was in school last year, I didn’t catch up with the opening of the Western restaurant, but the restaurant was really delicious! ! It's Chinese food. Good quality and low price are not enough to describe its beauty. The sizzling Japanese tofu is especially delicious, super delicious! ! ! If you haven't tried it yet, you must try it. It's my fault if it doesn't taste good.

If you get tired of eating in the canteen, there is a Northeastern restaurant near Tianwai. It has a variety of rice bowls. The portions are quite large and the taste is just like home. Although I am not from the Northeast, but his food is delicious. It really tastes like the warmth of home.

The first floor below the cafeteria is the living area for students. There are 711, Century Hualian, milk tea shop, fruit shop, express delivery point and mobile phone accessories store. The infrastructure is quite complete and perfect. I especially like the fruit shop that sells watermelon and cantaloupe cut into strips in summer. It’s a great place to buy one and walk around to satisfy your cravings. There is a table in front of 711 where you can eat instant noodles and lunch boxes.

Beside the canteen is a place for picking up express delivery. After talking about the canteen, let’s talk about the bathhouse. The bathhouse in Tianwai is a specialty of the north. Once you enter, you can be honest and swipe your student card to get water. A bath costs about 2-5 yuan. There are often no seats available during peak hours, and you may be left hanging around and waiting naked.

There are several hair dryers coming out of the bathhouse, and you have to wait in line for about ten minutes to use them.

But after taking a bath in the summer, I come out in my pajamas, my hair is still slightly wet, the evening breeze is blowing gently, and I look at the people sweating on the playground. This feeling is really wonderful, yes A touching feeling that life has infinite hope. This gentle journey is something that the private bathroom in the dormitory does not have.

The library in Tianwai is not too big, but very simple. It feels like what a library should look like, with wooden desks, bright and clean windows, and old and new books neatly placed on the bookshelves.

I have no idea whether the library has air conditioning, but there are many students who go there every day to study, and everyone is quiet. The library has Building AB. In my impression, one of them is open from Monday to Friday, and the other one is open on Saturday and Sunday. Connecting the two libraries is a small overpass on the second floor.

The library is located between the cafeteria and the dormitory, so it is especially suitable to go to the library to study for a while after dinner and then return to the dormitory to catch up on sleep.

The library has Chinese literature, foreign literature, and various reference documents. It can be said that although it is a small sparrow, it has all the internal organs.

I really want to complain about the playground! ! Tianwai is very small, but the playground is in the middle of the school, so from the teaching building to the cafeteria, you need to cross a playground, which inexplicably adds a lot of distance.

The playground is 400 meters away. Normally everyone can enter casually, so you can often see old men and women around here doing morning and evening exercises. There are tennis courts, basketball courts, and track and field in the playground.

Overall, it’s still very good! Looking forward to your arrival!
