How to make Mapo tofu? Which is better, bean paste or Chili sauce?
To make Mapo tofu, you can use both bean paste and Chili sauce. Bean paste is absolutely necessary. Bean paste is the soul of Sichuan cuisine seasoning.

Mapo tofu material:
