Loquat seeds
Nature and flavor: Bitter, neutral in nature.
Meridians returned: Lung and Liver meridians.
Efficacy: Resolving phlegm and relieving cough, soothing the liver and promoting qi, diuresis and reducing swelling.
Indications: used for cough with excessive phlegm, hernia, edema, and scrofula.
Usage and dosage: 6~15g for oral administration in decoction. External use: Grind into powder and apply.
Related compatibility:
1. Treat coughs. Dried loquat core, mash, about 6 grams, decoct, add a small amount of sugar, take 2 times a day.
2. Treat hernia and edema: 9 to 15 grams of loquat core. Decoction in water.
3. To treat scrofula, mix dried loquat seeds into powder and apply hot wine on the affected area.
Usage Note: Do not take too much for internal use. Excessive oral administration can lead to poisoning and even death.
