Today's porridge tastes better than canned longan lotus seed porridge. The ingredients I use for porridge are all real. If you want to cook good porridge, you must first have high-quality ingredients. Let's see how I make longan lotus seed eight-treasure porridge!
Longan lotus seed eight-treasure porridge
Ingredients: a handful of rice, a handful of glutinous rice, a handful of purple rice, a handful of red beans, a handful of lotus seeds, a handful of peanuts, a walnut, a few dried longan, and a proper amount of rock sugar.
Steps:
1, first prepare the ingredients to make eight-treasure porridge. The main ingredients are rice and purple rice, and other ingredients can be freely selected. It is usually recommended that you use ingredients with the same color and the same effect, such as mung beans with lilies to clear away heat and fire, and red beans with lotus seeds to calm down. There is no need to deliberately prepare 8 kinds of ingredients, and it doesn't matter if there are more or less.
2. If you want porridge to be cooked faster, soak the ingredients in advance. For example, if you want to eat it in the morning, you can soak the rice before going to bed at night, and you can cook it quickly when you use it in the morning. It takes a long time to soak it overnight. It is recommended that you put it in the refrigerator to prevent the ingredients from deteriorating.
3. Prepare a casserole in the morning. It is the most delicious to cook porridge in a casserole. If there is no casserole, you can choose a glass pot, a stainless steel stew pot, etc. Never use an iron pot, such as aluminum pot. Fill the casserole with boiling water, then pour the soaked ingredients into it and boil it over high fire.
4, after the water is boiled, turn it to the minimum fire, half cover the pot cover, and slowly boil it for 40 to 50 minutes. Some pots are well heated and boil very thick in half an hour.
5. Add rock sugar in the last 20 minutes, and stir the porridge clockwise several times in the middle to prevent sinking. This action is called boiling thick in commercial porridge. If you add this step, the porridge will be basically smooth and delicious. Finally, remind everyone that if you don't like sweets, just ignore the last step of putting rock sugar.
