Which province is Anqing from?
Anqing is a city in Anhui Province. Anqing, referred to as "Yi" for short, is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province and one of the 27 cities in the central area of the Yangtze River Delta. Located in the southwest of Anhui Province, on the north bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, it is connected to Hubei in the west, Jiangxi in the south, the main peak of Dabie Mountain in the northwest and the rest of Huangshan Mountain in the southeast. The first power plant, the first waterworks, the first telegraph office, the first telephone, the first government-run highway, the first airport and the first Anqing were the locations of ancient Anhui in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, so Anhui Province was called "Anhui" for short. In the seventeenth year of Shaoxing in the Southern Song Dynasty (1 147), Zhou Shude's Qing army was changed to Zhou Shuan's Qing army, hence the name "Anqing". Anqing City was founded in the tenth year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty (12 17), with a history of nearly 800 years. Guo Pu, a poet in the Eastern Jin Dynasty, once called this place Yicheng, so Anqing was nicknamed Yicheng.
