Breeding of yellow-waisted willow warbler
The yellow-waisted warbler is small in size and has a unique song. Because it is difficult to raise food, many bird friends forget it and flinch. There's no need to be too mysterious. First of all, we must understand that it naturally consumes energy because of its petite figure. In the wild, it mainly eats aphids and small flying insects on leaves such as willow trees and locust trees, so its food structure contains a lot of sugar (aphids are sweet, commonly known as "honey insects"). In other words, it needs high-calorie food. Then make a recipe. It is suggested that animal feed should be the main feed, accounting for 70-80%, and the remaining 20-30% of green substances can be replaced by cooked mung bean powder (mung bean is used to detoxify, reduce fire and facilitate defecation). 70-80% meat, it is recommended to use egg yolk and shrimp powder as the main ingredients (after trying many kinds). Finally, milk powder with sugar is recommended.
The feed ratio is roughly as follows:
Ingredients: cooked mung bean powder (three Liang) cooked egg yolk (three Liang) shrimp powder (four Liang)
The main ingredient accounts for 70%, and with 30% milk powder, it becomes the daily feed of yellow-waist Claudia's.
Usually, you can add some apples, cucumbers, pupae (just cut to expose the pulp, I usually use silkworm pupae or northeast silkworm pupae) and small white breadworms.
Appropriately increase the proportion of meat and feed in winter to ensure safe winter.
When changing wool in summer, it is suggested to fly 1-2 hours a day (which helps to increase the stiffness of new wool), increase moderate sunbathing and bathing, and get some leaves with aphids back if possible, which is the New Year for it, haha. I will definitely pick a clean one for you!
After talking about daily management, let's talk about the new bird just caught. The male and female with yellow waist are not easy to distinguish. I can only say that the so-called one is a man. Some friends say that colorful birds are male, but I don't think so. My friend dissected a lot of dead birds. There are bright females and dark males. The final conclusion is that male and female are not easy to distinguish. You can only scream! There are also good and bad points. I think it's better to speak slowly and have a listening head. Talking like a machine gun, it's really noisy. The experience in this regard is that birds with small individuals and relatively stable food intake are much slower. Most big, fast-eating, grumpy and problematic birds make an emergency call. Of course, everyone has his own love, which depends on himself.
Most of the new birds that have just entered the bird market have not changed their food, and many of them are on the verge of death. Usually, you should choose a bird with tight hair, wide eyebrows, bright colors (the black block between the three eyebrows on the head is obvious) and violent eyes. I usually wrap the balls, keep one, feed the worms with water on the spot, and then release the rest (we have one yuan here, which is very cheap). Don't go in a hurry after you get the bird. Pierce the bird's wings first. Take 5- 10 breadworms (big ones), pinch their heads, and feed them the pulp in their hands (if they don't make it, they will eat it themselves. This bird has a strong desire for survival). It's no problem to eat the pulp of five worms in one breath (usually hungry). Drink plenty of water, and you can go home after eating about 10. After entering the cage, the wings can't be untied, and two water tanks (conditional water plus glucose when changing food). Put some chopped white breadworms on the prepared feed surface, cover them and put them in a quiet place with sufficient light, and you can change food soon!
These are some experiences and opinions of playing Claudia with yellow waist in recent years. Of course, it is purely a personal opinion, and different people have different opinions. For your reference only.
Talking about the Feeding of Claudia's Warbler
Claudia was difficult to raise, and basically it was poor warmth, wrong feeding and lack of water and food until Claudia died.
How to raise it is worth observing and exploring. According to my current understanding of Claudia, I have the following humble opinions for your reference. The newly caught Claudia's warbler should choose some birds with strong physique, wide head and protruding eyes, long body and high feet, thick eyebrows, yellow capillary, straight tail and smooth eyebrows. Most of these birds are males. I don't approve of tying strings to Claudia's cage, because the new bird Claudia's cage is in high fear. If you tie it again, it will run around and bump, speeding up physical exertion. Birds that have been hit many times tend to refuse to eat, leading to an increase in mortality. I didn't know this until I observed it many times, so I put three or five leaves of Claudia together or one in a cage. Eat it with white aphids or wet materials, put it in a quiet place and cover it with white cage cloth. Change food two to three days after eating. Change the powder first, then change the granular food, or a cup of soft food and a cup of powder. When feeding indigo, Liu Ying likes food with heat energy, and glucose powder and royal jelly can be appropriately added to the feed. Claudia is particularly afraid of the cold and needs to keep warm at night. The new bird can't take a bath until it has gained weight for more than ten days. Usually bask in the sun more, feed less fruit, don't break bugs, and feed some fruit when changing hair. The above is purely a personal opinion. I hope you will forgive me and give me some advice.
Feed formula:
Green bean powder 3.5 kg soybean powder 3 kg millet 1.2 kg rice bran 0.5 kg chicken food 0.5 kg medlar 0.6 kg chicken skin 0.6 kg.
Corn flour 1.5 kg loach 0.8 kg beef 0.8 kg shrimp 1.5 kg crucian carp 1 kg duck egg yolk 50 dried cucumbers 0.3 kg.
2 kg of dried carrots (adjust the feed humidity with fresh carrots)
Note: Xiaomi should be shelled; Put the medlar in the refrigerator for quick freezing and then take it to powder, so it will not stick together; Shrimp should be fresh water shrimp, because it does not contain salt; If it is seawater shrimp, please soak it in warm water for 2-3 hours before processing.
Increase or decrease the composition according to the season and the situation of birds.
Experience of raising leaf warbler
The bird has just been caught and should be fed as soon as possible. The sooner the better, the sooner the survival can be guaranteed. As long as you open the dish, it is fat enough and basically no problem. Compared with indigo, I feel my yellow waist is easy to raise. As long as the food is fat enough, there will be almost no problems. Of course, once something goes wrong, the mortality rate is much higher than indigo.
Since I have repeatedly said that food should be fat enough, I will focus on introducing my feed for raising yellow waist. Because almost no one keeps this kind of bird here, the food I gave it was mainly based on the information I saw on the bluebird and my own groping. This situation is not bad at present, so I think my current feed formula is very suitable.
My formula is:
1 kg homemade indigo food (1 kg mung bean powder, 2 pieces of corn flour, 1 kg fine beef stuffing, 10 egg, 1 kg carrot, 2 pieces of medlar and dough, steamed thoroughly, steamed and ground).
Cook 2 kg of fresh silkworm chrysalis, beat it with a soymilk machine, dry and grind it, then add 1 cup of shrimp powder (sold in seafood shops, bought back and cooked, dried and ground) and 1 cup of grasshopper powder commonly used at home, and stir evenly. As the main feed, feed three or five or seven or eight breadworms less than one centimeter long every day, and give a cucumber every other day. Some places are called cucumbers. Take a section of about one inch, cut it horizontally from the middle, and peck it on the fruit fork. I like it very much.
Some bird friends introduced that milk powder or sugar or glucose powder or honey was added to the feed of yellow-waisted Claudia's, and some introduced that peanut powder was added to the feed. I haven't added any of the above items at present, not that I don't believe it, but my current feed formula is also tested step by step. It looks good for the time being, so try to keep it simple (in fact, it is already very complicated). If there is a problem with the bird in the future, it is a problem with the state, then I will add it.
In daily management, take a bath every three or four days. I found that the bird jumped into the water and washed it once, and then stopped washing, not only this one, but all the original ones were washed. I wonder if my friend's yellow waist is the same? Every day after noon, the sun shines in from the west window of my living room. According to the position of the cage, it shines in at different times, and it has never been particularly sunburned.
Generally speaking, I think this bird is very difficult: it tastes bad; It's hard to live after eating for three months; Male and female are inseparable; Yi: As long as you can live for three months, it will be easy to serve.
How do I feed Claudia?
1, tie wings to preserve the strength of birds;
Some water, captured or bought home by Claudia's, is definitely thirsty, and it should be replenished in time to maintain vitality. Hold the bird in one hand and dip a finger in water with the other hand and drop it on the bird's mouth; 3. Beat the powder into gruel, add the chopped breadworms, and wipe it with small bamboo strips every 5 minutes until the birds swallow it;
3, into the cage, continue to feed wet powder, if the bird doesn't take the initiative to eat, then put aside the cage and feed it with long bamboo strips, at intervals until the bird takes the initiative to eat, at this time, Liu Ying has successfully started to eat! You can untie your wings.
Note: after eating bread worms, you must gradually remove them, and never feed them again. Some friends have been insisting on feeding insects, but I don't feed them anyway, for fear that Claudia will lose weight and die of anorexia. In order to amuse the birds, it is ok to feed them occasionally. Claudia's courage is actually quite big, and Doby is also very likable.
Claudia began to eat and gain weight.
1, it is best to thin the edible wet material and cucumber pulp, and put some aphids on the food, which is easy to open and does not completely cover the arm;
2. Don't be too happy after eating. Be sure to grasp the top fertilizer, a can of wet powder and a can of water. The material must be hard, with few cucumbers. It is best to cover it and not disturb it. This stage is the most critical;
3. If you are still alive in a week or so, you can gradually turn the wet material into powder, reduce the wet material day by day, and put two cans of dry material and one can of water in the cage. As long as you watch it eat dry material, you can remove the wet material. At this time, the little guy is already very fat and occasionally barks;
4. When the bird gets fat, it is easy to come back to life and toss in the cage. It's best to feed two bugs before dark, and then cover them. After opening the lid in the morning, feed two bugs, put a bigger pitcher at the bottom of the cage and let it play with water until it falls into the cage. Frankly speaking, three eyebrows are definitely more fun than embroidered eyes. They are petite and exquisite in appearance, loud in cavity and correct in speech.
1, bird selection: strong body, energetic, bright and compact coat, clear three paths, and the best time for bird selection is 8- 10 in the morning.
2. Some water: When the new bird arrives home, don't eat it in a hurry. Dip the water into the bird's mouth with a brush and eat it after 2-3 hours (it is best to watch it drain).
3. Edible: Adding powder to food can be dry or wet, and put a few red worms (nematodes), breadworms, aphids, flies, etc. On the surface, you will start eating soon.
4. Feed ingredients: (Tianjin) egg yolk powder, beef powder, mung bean powder, nut powder, fish and shrimp powder, bone powder and insect powder (locust powder).
Simple formula of domestic feed for Claudia's children;
Egg yolk 1 whole milk powder 1 pollen 1 mung bean were mixed and fed.
