What are three batteries?
The three fortresses mainly refer to the three ancient towers in China-Yue Ming, Nanjing and Peiping in Qin Dynasty. The following is a brief introduction to them:

1. Qinshimingyue Building: located in the former site of Jinyang City in the northwest suburb of Taiyuan, the capital of Shanxi Province. Built in the Warring States period, it is an important military facility in the northern Qin State. After the reconstruction in the Ming Dynasty, it was changed into a viewing building. 2. Nanjing _ Wangtai: Located near the Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum in Jiangdong, Xuanwu District, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Now only the viewing building is left, which was listed as a national cultural relics protection unit in 2005.

3. Beiping Observatory: Located in Beijing Beihai Park. It was built in the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty to monitor ships at sea and the war in the north, and later became a royal paradise. Now it is a national 4A-level scenic spot and was listed as a national cultural relic protection unit in 2006.
