The cherry shrimp can be raised in a bare tank. Only, because of its oxygen consumption is relatively large, so the general culture will be planted in the tank some centipede grass or other water plants to provide oxygen. If bare tank culture, it is recommended to install an oxygen pump in the tank to increase the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the water. If the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the water is relatively low, they will grow poorly, and in serious cases, they will die early.
Second, the cherry shrimp on the water quality requirements1, pH: cherry shrimp like neutral water, but also able to use a weakly acidic or weakly alkaline environment. When breeding, you can use water with PH between 6.0-8.4, and it is more recommended to use water with PH around 7.0.
2. Dissolved Oxygen: They like water with higher concentration of dissolved oxygen. Before changing the water, it is best to pump some oxygen into the water. This is more favorable to their growth. If there is an oxygen pump, you can also do without oxygen.
3, protein hydrolysis: cherry shrimp do not have too high requirements for the protein hydrolysis of water. When breeding, it is OK to use water with DH value between 2-10.
4, water hardness: cherry shrimp for water hardness is not too harsh requirements. However, if you can use water with GH around 6.8 when breeding, it will be more favorable to its growth.
