Aloe cultivation method

Choose aloe with intact plants and no scratches or broken leaves, prepare flowerpots with drainage, water retention, ventilation and fertilizer storage functions and breathable and fertile soil, put them in pots in summer to avoid direct sunlight, then move them to the sunshine place after 2 to 3 days, and water the leaves and roots once a week after turning green and taking root.

Aloe likes fertile and well-drained sandy soil, which is more salt-and-alkali-tolerant. The following formula can be used at home: garden soil: humus soil: sand = 4: 4: 2, peat soil: humus soil: sand: perlite = 4: 3: 2: 1. Because aloe stems and leaves are rich in water, the requirement for water is not high. Aloe vera likes dry soil, drought resistance, no water accumulation and dry air environment.

After the temperature rises in spring, Aloe vera will resume its growth, which can slightly increase the water supply, and it is appropriate for the basin soil to be moist and dry. Keep the basin soil moist in summer, and water it intermittently. At the same time, because Aloe likes dry air environment, it should be placed separately from other plants that like moist air.

Fertilization and illumination in aloe cultivation

Aloe does not require high fertilizer, but lack of fertilizer is not conducive to its growth. In the peak growth season, it can be topdressed with 2 times liquid fertilizer or 1, times "Hua Duo Duo Duo" general fertilizer. If sufficient base fertilizer is applied when planting, fertilization is not needed during the growing season. The base fertilizer can be organic fertilizer such as decomposed bean cake fertilizer, and the application amount of base fertilizer is 1/1 of the pot soil. Topdressing liquid fertilizer 3-4 times a year in the warm growing season in spring, not in summer and autumn, otherwise the stem nodes will be too long, the leaves will be sparse and prone to lodging.

Aloe likes sunlight, and it grows strong when it is exposed to direct sunlight in spring and autumn. In summer, it is placed in a well-ventilated semi-shade, which is more conducive to its growth. In the north, it should be moved indoors for maintenance after autumn, and placed in the sunny place of the window sill. In winter, it is placed in a place with good indoor light and room temperature not lower than 1℃.
