Adequate sunshine is a necessary condition for the growth of gardenia. If you don't see the light for a long time, its branches will be very thin and it will be difficult to bloom. In addition to the need for proper shade in summer, it is no problem to raise it directly in the sun in other seasons.

(3) Moisture

Gardenia likes wet growth conditions, and the pot soil should be kept wet except in winter. When the air is dry in summer, spray some water on its leaves with a watering can, or put a basin of clear water next to its flowerpot to increase the air humidity.

(4) Temperature

Gardenia is suitable for growing at 20-28℃. It needs some cooling measures when the temperature is too high in summer, and it should be kept at 5- 12℃ in winter, not too low, otherwise it will freeze and not too high, otherwise it will break its dormancy.

2. Preventive measures

(1) acidic soil. When watering, you can add one or two drops of vinegar to the water, which can reduce the pH of the soil and make gardenias grow better.

(2) timely fertilization. Gardenia prefers fertilizer, so it should be applied thinly and diligently during its growing period. Apply some phosphate fertilizer before flowering to help it bloom better.
