Xiong'an new area is a state-level new district under the jurisdiction of Hebei Province, which is located in the middle of Hebei Province and the hinterland of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding. Xiong'an new area includes Xiongxian, Rongcheng, Anxin and some surrounding areas. The initial area is about 100 square kilometers, the medium-term development area is about 200 square kilometers, and the long-term control area is about 2000 square kilometers.

Xiong'an new area is located at the eastern foot of Taihang Mountain, in the middle of Jizhong Plain, on the south bank of Juma River downstream, on the alluvial fan of Daqing River system, and belongs to the transitional zone from Taihang Mountain piedmont plain to alluvial plain. The whole territory is high in the northwest and slightly lower in the southeast, with an altitude of 7 ~ 19 meters, which is about one thousandth of the natural longitudinal slope.
