Pingshan Ancient Town is called Pingshan District.

Pingshan District, which belongs to Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, is located in the northeast of Shenzhen City, with Daya Bay Petrochemical City in Huizhou City in the east, Dapeng Peninsula in the south, Yantian Port in the west and the central city of Longgang District in the north. The total area is 168 square kilometers. As of June, 22, there are 6 streets under the jurisdiction of Pingshan District and 1 industrial zone.

Pingshan was originally under the jurisdiction of Longgang District. On September 12, 216, the State Council approved the establishment of Pingshan District. On January 7, 217, an unveiling ceremony was held in Pingshan District. Pingshan District is the main settlement of Hakka people entering Shenzhen [13], which belongs to subtropical maritime climate. The natural terrain is mainly shallow hills and basins, and Pingshan River, one of the five major rivers in Shenzhen, runs through the whole territory. Maluanshan Waterfall is the largest natural waterfall group in Shenzhen, and the local culture, Pingshan unicorn dance and waist drum dance, has been included in the provincial and municipal intangible cultural heritage protection projects respectively.
