Drip Avalokitesvara (formerly known as Alocasia macrorrhizos or Alocasia macrorrhizos), scientific name: Alocasia macrorrhizos, Alocasia genus, also known as Bergamot, etc. It is called Alocasia macrorrhizos in Taiwan. It is native to South America and is tropical and subtropical. Common ornamental plants are commonly known as scar taro, Wolfsbane (Guangdong), wild taro, mountain taro, big root taro, big insect taro, Tian Yu, Tian Meng, etc. When used as ornamental plants, they are called Dripping Guanyin. It is a perennial evergreen herb with medicinal value. Its bulbs and leaves can be used medicinally. Its leaf juice is poisonous when ingested, and its rhizomes are poisonous. When the air is warm and humid and the soil moisture is sufficient, water will drip downward from the tip or edge of the leaves, and the flowers bloom like Guanyin, so it is called Dripping Guanyin.
