To take pictures of food at home, you need to choose areas with sufficient light, such as balconies and windows. But don't do it in direct sunlight, such as this one. Jiangnan Style on the tip of the tongue, when shooting, the light is relatively stiff, the light ratio is relatively large, and the shadow is heavier.

Third, how to find natural light that is favorable for shooting in the restaurant?

Try to choose a well-lit place.

Shooting in a restaurant is easily limited by the venue. If you can choose to sit by the window, it is naturally the best. If not, you can only try to choose a place with sufficient lighting.

Most western restaurants have dim lights, which makes it difficult to express food clearly. In addition, when many people dine, the table will inevitably be full of plates, dishes and other items, so it is difficult to avoid the messy background in general. At this time, you can choose to shoot down, express the dishes cleanly and purely, and put the exquisiteness and elegance of western food into the lens.

Fourth, use white cloth or white paper towel to measure light.

For those who don't have exposure meter, we can first adjust different parameters by experience. I once saw an experienced photographer who used a white towel to measure light. Specific measures, because I don't have pure white towels at home, I have to make a demonstration with paper towels.

The specific way is to rub the paper towel (just put the towel at will) and put it in the scene you plan to shoot. I don't know what file you use when you take pictures every day. I usually use A file (aperture first) to automatically white balance.

The shadows are heavy and the highlights are not bad.

It can be seen that the shadows are heavier now, and the highlights are not bad. The details can be seen, and the whole is warmer. It is necessary to increase exposure compensation, place a reflector in the shadow and slightly raise the color temperature.

First of all, I need to know my camera. When I used to use pentax, the normal exposure was usually dark, so I had to add one exposure. Of course, this is related to the shooting object and the style I want. Usually, because I usually use side backlight, I will add some exposure.

6. How to pose and compose food to attract people?

Jiugongge composition method

The most commonly used method is Jiugongge composition, which can put food on a monochrome background, such as clean table linen, so that the vision can be concentrated on the subject. Figure 1 In order not to make the picture look dull, the food focus is composed to the right. Although other objects are added to the picture in Figure 2, the main body can't let people know clearly what food is inside.

4.3 composition, appropriate blank space can increase the tension of the picture. The small bamboo basket in the picture 1 plays an extension role, which is carefully placed by the author, forms a consistent tone with the white background, highlights the key green dishes, and makes it clearly displayed in the picture. There are too many foods in Figure 2, and the composition is too full, which weakens the subject to be expressed and gives people a sense of oppression.

Use light to create healing effect. The light at sunset is soft and warm, which just creates the feeling of warm sun in winter. Seeing such a food map will make you feel better.

Make the picture spiritual. Through some flowing substances, the picture is more dynamic. Are the last two photos more impressive than the first one?

Seven, late sharing

Her works don't need to rely too much on the later stage, and simply adjust the curve (brightness and contrast) with ps, and sometimes add some sharpening. The photos of pentax and cannon are generally soft (related to the lens and fuselage), so it is necessary to sharpen them properly. A photo, from the completion of shooting to the presentation in front of everyone, usually goes through the following five simple and quick steps.

Adjust brightness and contrast.

The first step is to adjust the brightness and contrast through proper curve adjustment. Reach a better level.

USM sharpening

The second step is to use quick mask to select the main part of the photo, and USM sharpen the selected part to make the details more clear.

The cropping tool re-composes the photo.

The third step, if necessary, you can use the cutting tool to re-compose the photo and cut out some unnecessary scenes to make the subject more prominent.

The fourth step, sometimes, in order to make the picture more deep, bring some lomo effect, or add shallow dark corners to the picture. Create a new layer and use the circular gradient tool to pull out the white (center)? Black gradient, and then select? Linear deepening? The overlay method, adjust the transparency of the layer, to achieve the ideal.
